Managing Information for Knowledge Advantage:
 

• One of the biggest energy blocks your people face is ‘not knowing'.  Not knowing does not automatically result in no action, but it most often results in ineffective action.

• The reason for this is simply that we have a surfeit of data and information, which makes us feel that we ‘should know'.  (And if we ‘should know', then surely we must act.)  In reality, what we lack is knowledge and wisdom.  Data and information is good enough for productivity and efficiency, but not for effectiveness and meaning.  Effectiveness and meaning require knowledge and wisdom.

• Knowledge tells you what the right thing is you should be doing right.  And wisdom is the critical trigger of vision, for it crafts together data, information and knowledge into a meaningful and practical what-can-be.  In this way, knowledge and wisdom will guide your people to act appropriately, and empower them to release their energy.
