Understand vision in action: your what-can-be
A Carpenter once said: “As I cut this rafter, I see the
whole roof.” That is vision in action. Vision in action is the force that will
turn your what-can-be into the what-is, and do so effectively.
-
Your what-can-be can only become the what-is when it is translated into a clear
statement of intent, a way-we-do-things-here, which makes appropriate action
both obvious and inevitable. It must be the central focus of everyone’s thoughts
and the purpose of everyone’s actions, aligned into the unstoppable
vision-in-action force, which will achieve your desired results.
-
Vision can only be in-action if every one takes
personal responsibility to make it so. This is why we help you ensure that
all your teams, and the people within each team, take responsibility for
translating the organizational what-can-be into an individual, but
complementary, what-must-be.
-
No matter how daunting,
this process must be done. For every alignment of action and purpose will be a
step towards greater effectiveness for your organization, and a step towards
satisfaction and fulfillment for your people.
