Information in action provides accurate key indicators and information to the appropriate people timeously to confirm the execution of the plan.

• Confirmation of success is pleasing, which is why so few organizations dig deeper than good results.

• However, awareness of the lack of success is critical, for mistakes will happen. It is how you fix mistakes that prevent them becoming failures.  And how you react to mistakes can turn them into successes, for passionate brand and customer loyalty is often built on how you fix poor service or quality.

• Information in action is always about understanding and learning.  Understanding what must be done in terms of the what-can-be means that you know what to measure and monitor.  Learning from what is done so that mistakes can be turned into successes.

• Effectiveness in information means that the key indicators and performance measures are readily available and reflect accurately what is happening.  Information in action means that, in knowing these, your people can act appropriately.
